Telax, a provider of cloud-based business solutions, has announced that Metaswitch Networks, a provider of carrier systems and software solutions, has certified Telax Hosted Call Center as an “interoperable” product.

 

In order to achieve the certification, Telax’s successfully completed a series of intensive interoperability tests with Metaswitch version 7.0 and Telax Hosted Call Center’s ACD 10.3.0.0 SIP protocol.

 

Calling the Telax carrier-grade hosted call center technology a great match for today’s IP networks, Stefan Knight, vice president for strategic alliances at Metaswitch Networks, said that the company has added Telax Hosted Call Center to its business solution suite.

 

The integrated Metaswitch and Telax solution can be deployed by incumbent service providers and CLECs, enabling them to offer their customers new functionality such as universal ACD, enhanced queuing, real-time agent and queue displays, full call recordings, in-depth reports and even workforce management.

 

Taras Kapanaiko, vice president of operations at Telax, believes that both the companies share a commitment to innovation and market leadership. “It made sense to drive the interoperability between our two technologies.”

 

Kapanaiko added that a number of existing Telax customers in Canada and the United States rely on Metaswitch solutions.

 

In January, Celtro, a supplier of mobile backhaul access switches, selected Metaswitch’s MPLS and IP Routing network protocol software products for its DynaMate product family.
