Nokia Unveils Nokia X3, the First 'Touch and Type' Phone from Nokia

Nokia (News - Alert) recently disclosed the super slim Nokia X3 Touch and Type. It consists of a touch screen and conventional 12 button phone keypad. Nokia X3 is the first 'Touch and Type' phone from Nokia. It enables people to rapidly tap on the bright color touch screen. It also provides users the facility of complete keypad for quick fire text messages and phone calls. The Nokia X3 is expected to be on sale in the third quarter. The price will be around EUR 125, excluding taxes and subsidies.




In a release, Mary McDowell, executive vice president of mobile phones at Nokia said that "Innovation is not just a high-end game. The Nokia X3 is a great example of bringing new consumer value to lower price points. With the Nokia X3 we are giving consumers the best of both worlds by combining a touch screen and a keypad in an affordable device. We have given people a larger screen with clear icons and menus plus kept critical keys such as the send and end keys."

Nokia X3 has a smooth and modern design. This is the first slimmest phone from Nokia which comes in at a very thin 9.6mm. The phone easily fits into the purse or the pocket. The parts are covered with brushed aluminum back cover. It comes in five vibrant colors designed to suit any mood or wardrobe.

Nokia X3 is fully packed with features such as 3G, WLAN, a music player and an FM radio. It has a 5 megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom. It provides the facility to take both still and video images.

The Nokia X3 has music and messaging keys specially meant for fast access to significant Ovi services. These include social and entertainment applications. In addition to Ovi Mail, consumer emails and chat accounts can be pushed directly to the phone through Nokia Messaging.

Users are able to connect to online by giving a mild glide over the touch screen. The latest phone will be available with Ovi Music Unlimited. It allows users to access a virtually infinite range of the latest hit music. Users are able to store it on the available 16GB memory card. The touch and type device is simple-to-use and brilliantly designed.
