OtterBox has launched the Commuter Series for Samsung (News - Alert) OMNIA II i8000. The Commuter Series will protect the phone on or off the slopes. OtterBox produces premier protective solutions for global handheld manufacturers, wireless carriers and distributors.

Available in black color, the OtterBox Commuter Series offers the OMNIA II i8000 three levels of protection. The protection starts with a self-adhering screen film to prevent scratches to the intuitive touchscreen. A durable silicone mid-layer wraps around the phone and is exposed at the corners to absorb bumps and shock. Lastly, a custom-molded polycarbonate shell provides added strength to the outside of the case. However, the case does not provide protection against water.

It’s essentially protection without the bulk. The exposed silicone corners dissipate impact away from the device for additional bump and shock protection while the smooth outer layer allows the case to easily slide into a pocket or purse.

The OtterBox Commuter Series case weighs approximately 24.19 g. While using the Commuter Series, all of the buttons and features will remain fully functional. In addition, silicone plugs allow for easy access to the phone's audio jack and USB port while keeping out dust and debris.
