Plantronics, Inc. has announced it is helping even more mobile users prepare for upcoming hands-free laws in Oregon and Hawaii by offering hands-free options and safety tips.
According to Elizabeth Bastiaanse Hamren, vice president of Product Marketing at Plantronics ( News - Alert), complying with the law is easy because users have more options than ever before.
Mobile headsets from Plantronics fit a range of personal styles and budgets while still providing audio quality, comfort and style.
Bluetooth headsets offered by Plantronics to drivers in Oregon and the Big Island include the Plantronics Voyager PRO and the Plantronics Discovery 975.
The Plantronics Voyager PRO provides advanced noise-canceling and features AudioIQ2, next generation digital signal processing technology, to deliver superior noise and wind cancellation as well as rich, natural inbound audio. The battery of Plantronics Voyager PRO provides up to six hours of talk time before having to recharge.
The Plantronics Discovery 975 headset provides simple one-touch controls to keep drivers focused on the road, not the headset. The headset features AudioIQ2 DSP technology with dual-microphones to cancel background noise and three layers of WindSmart technology to minimize wind noise. In addition, the headset features a rechargeable carrying case that can triple talk time from 5 hours to up to 15 hours.
By using a headset, drivers can talk while driving and still keep both hands safely on the steering wheel.
To further increase safety when using a headset, drivers should test the headset with the phone before driving, make sure frequently called numbers are programmed into the phone, add headset preparation to the pre-driving checklist and always make sure to focus on the road.
