T-Mobile's New Sidekick Released

By Jai C.S., TMCnet Contributing Editor

T-Mobile (News - Alert) USA, has launched the latest T-Mobile Sidekick, providing customers with the opportunity to create shells for their device with the images, colors or designs of their choice.

“There is perhaps nothing more important than someone’s individual style and personality. Providing our customers with options to stand out from the crowd and show a true expression of themselves is what makes this Sidekick such an intriguing, fun device,” said Sajal Sahay, director, product marketing, T-Mobile USA.

Customers can choose their personal photo or graphic design, text, shapes, icons or logos and the final design is custom-printed onto the shell. Once the design is complete, customers can share their work of art in a public gallery that will be hosted on www.sidekick.com.

The new T-Mobile Sidekick also features the ability to record, play and share videos and a horizontal swivel screen and full QWERTY keyboard manufactured by Sharp (News - Alert).

The device also has a WQVGA screen with high-definition LCD technology for enhanced Web surfing and offers a customizable IM (instant messaging) experience, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP supporting stereo Bluetooth and Bluetooth file transfer to other Bluetooth devices including Bluetooth photo printers, a 2.0 megapixel camera and a built-in 512MB microSD memory card.

The new T-Mobile Sidekick is also available with a variety of pre-designed shell patterns and colors starting today at select T-Mobile retail stores and online.
