Samsung ( News - Alert) expanded its product line with the introduction of two high definition television sets. The Series 8 (850 and 860) HDTVs include the company’s “Touch of Color” bevel design.
The TVs provide full HD 1080p picture quality with up to dynamic contrast ratio of up to 50,000:1. Also included is Samsung's Auto Motion Plus 120Hz and Ultra Clear Panel technologies for rich details and lifelike color.
The TVs come in two frame colors: rose and deep blue.
“Samsung’s Series 8 LCD HDTVs represent the company’s proven dedication to offer consumers new applications and performance levels that enhance their TV viewing experience,” said Jonas Tanenbaum, vice president of LCD television marketing at Samsung Electronics America, in a statement.
Tanenbaum continued: “While picture quality is always a priority, we have also focused on connecting consumers with their own digital content, pre-loaded digital content from the Content Library, or online RSS feeds of the latest news, sports and weather from USA Today via our InfoLink service.”
The 850 HDTV will be available starting this September, in two sizes: 46” (model LN46A850) and 52” (model LN52A850). The 860 HDTVs, which include a USB 2.0 connection and a variation on the bezel design, will also be available in similar sizes (model numbers: LN46A860 and LN52A860) at select retailers in September.
