Control4 Corporation announced the launch of its new 7-inch POE Wall Mount Touch Screen. This adds a third branch to the company’s product family tree, which also includes a 10.5-inch wall mount touch screen and a mini touch screen.
Control4 specializes in whole-home automation for residential uses, making the concept of a “digital home” more practical. The company’s products are used for home theater control, multi-room music, smart lighting, and temperature control and security. Control4 offers both wired and wireless solutions that can be installed in existing homes as well as in homes under construction.
Control4 7-inch POE Wall Mount Touch Screen combines ergonomic styling with a simplified interface. It can be used for whole-home automation control.
"By rounding out our wall mount touch screen options with a 7-inch screen, we provide increased flexibility on price, size and functionality for additional rooms in the home," said Will West, CEO at Control4, in a statement.
The Control4 7-inch POE Wall Mount Touch Screen is 16x9 format and offers three times the display area of the Control4 Mini Touch Screen. It is capable of running the screen saver functionality that turns the touch panel into a picture frame.
Among its other uses, the touch screen can be used to greet visitors. Once the photo screensaver has been enabled on a system, Control4 Composer Home Edition software can be used to add or remove pictures and configure display settings.
The company plans to release a WiFi (802.11 b/g)-enabled version of the touch screen later this year.
