The MoGo Mouse X54 from Newton Peripherals will be one of the items included in celebrity gift bags auctioned off in association with the Indianapolis 500 race.
Newton Peripherals designs, develops and manufactures a line of mobile computing products. MoGo Mouse is a wireless, Bluetooth-enabled, optical, rechargeable mouse.
The MoGo Media Mouse X54 will be included in a special gift bag to be autographed by celebrities and auctioned at the charityfolks Web site with proceeds going to the Riley Hospital for Children in Indiana.
The Indianapolis 500-Mile Race or historically known simply as "The 500," is an American automobile race held annually over the Memorial Day weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana. The event lends its name to the IndyCar class of formula (open-wheel) race cars that compete in the race.
In its announcement about the gift bags, Newton Peripherals compared its MoGo Mouse with cars at the Indy 500, touting the mouse’s sleek design and ability to deliver high performance. The mouse’s embedded Bluetooth technology provides control of iTunes, YouTube ( News - Alert), Windows Media Player and other media from 30 feet away. It is also a multimedia remote which stores charges at the laptop’s ExpressCard/54 slot removing the need for cords, batteries or cables.
MoGo Media mouse has all the functions of a typical wireless mouse sans the bulky design and can be easily turned into a remote control to adjust controls on multimedia devices.
"We are thrilled to have one of our products be a part of one of the most exciting sporting events in the world, the Indianapolis 500," said Matthew Westover, President and CEO of Newton Peripherals. "The Indianapolis 500 is the pinnacle of the fusion of technology, design and performance and this opportunity allows us to present the MoGo Mouse to celebrity racing fans who appreciate technology that enables mobility.”
"The MoGo Mouse is a fantastic companion for those of us who rely on our computers when we're on the go," said Julie Kenney, founder and president of Jewels and Pinstripes. "We are pleased to have the MoGo Mouse included in the gift bags we created for the Indianapolis 500 and are sure that the gift bag recipients will enjoy this unique product.”
