Nokia ( News - Alert) has announced that Sony BMG Music Entertainment has officially joined ' Nokia Comes With Music', a program which enables people to discover and enjoy music with their Nokia device.
On December 4, 2007, Nokia announced the availability of “Nokia Comes With Music”. Under this program, customers can purchase a Nokia device with one year of unlimited access to millions of tracks from a wide range of artists. Even after the subscription period expires, customers can enjoy those downloads anywhere and anytime.
"As one of the leading major music companies in the world, our collaboration with Sony BMG ( News - Alert) means we can offer a huge range of fantastic music from both international and local artists via Comes With Music," said Tero Ojanpera, executive vice president and head of the Nokia Entertainment and Communities business.
Ojanpera also mentioned that through this program "Nokia Comes With Music”, the company is stepping ahead to expand the overall business and revenue for the benefit of artists, labels and other rights holders.
Thomas Hesse, President, Global Digital Business & U.S. Sales, Sony BMG says that this collaboration with Nokia represents a critical new way of gaining access to music, through which fans will be able to explore Sony BMG's vast catalog of recordings for an entire year and says that this is definitely going to increase the demand for music in total.
