After reaching a pinnacle with the Nokia ( News - Alert) N95, the mobile phone manufacturing giant, Nokia is stepping into another era of revolutions through the latest launch of the Nokia N95 8GB multimedia computer for North American market, which comes with built-in Assisted-GPS, increased mass memory storage and improved battery power.
Symbian ( News - Alert), Inc. is welcoming the launch of the Nokia N95 8GB optimized for networks using 850/1900 MHz HSDPA (high speed data packet access) in North America. The multimedia computer is based on S60 3rd Edition and Symbian OS v9.2 for an estimated price of $749.
The Nokia N95 8GB takes entertainment to the next level and allows users to create, edit and upload content directly to the Internet, enabling them to personalize content.
This new Nokia N95 8GB offers North American 3G/HSDPA/UMTS compatibility while retaining all the popular functionality of the existing Nokia N95 8GB. The phone features a 2.8 inch QVGA screen with support for up to 16 million colors, eight gigabytes of built-in memory, A-GPS positioning for improved location access and a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics.
"Today's savvy consumer wants an all in one device that enables them to customize and share content immediately with their social communities. The Nokia N95 8GB fills this void as one of the most advanced wireless devices currently on the market in North America," said Bill Plummer, Vice President, Go-to-Market, Nokia Americas.
Nokia will start shipping The N95 8GB multimedia computer to Nokia Nseries retailers across the United States for Nokia flagship stores in New York and Chicago as well as online e-tailers during the first quarter of 2008.
