blinkx to Offer Independent Films from the Raindance Film Festival

blinkx, a comprehensive Internet video search engine, has entered into an agreement with Raindance, which will allow it to host, transcribe, and index top independent shorts, features, and documentaries from the Raindance Film Festival.
 
Founded by Raindance organization, Raindance Film Festival is Britain’s largest film festival providing independent filmmakers a platform to showcase their talent. Raindance also hosts the British Independent Film Awards. It lends further support to the independent filmmaking community by organizing screenings, seminars, and workshops in North America and Europe.



 
The partnership with blinkx, offers yet another vehicle for promoting independent filmmaking, as these films will now be available for viewing at http://www.blinkx.com.  blinkx will also use its AdHoc platform to show related advertisements along with the films. The revenue from these ads will be shared with Raindance.
