NextGen Venturi Launches Venturi Mini

By Meenakshi Shankar, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Music lovers have a reason to cherish as NextGen Venturi, as the leading leading UK Bluetooth technology company has launched its latest innovation, the Venturi Mini. This is a wireless car accessory used for Bluetooth music streaming, hands free calling and USB-style device charging. It’s all about rocking and talking while on move.

Designed and manufactured in UK, the Venturi Mini is the first converged system in the world which combines Bluetooth and radio transmitter technology.

When plugged into a vehicle's 12 volt adapter, the Venturi Mini uses Bluetooth to stream stereo music from the phone and wirelessly route calls through the in-car sound system.

The market for mobile phones with music playback capability has grown to the point where every operator and manufacturer of mobile phones is taking advantage of this trend and launching devices with in-built music players. NextGen Venturi is also positioned to tap this market by facilitating the latest music enabled phone and MP3 players to connect with the in-car entertainment system, offering a personalized in-car radio station.

"The Venturi Mini combines advanced technology and the sleekest design to set a new standard for in-car entertainment and communication products," said Harbans Dass, Managing Director of NextGen Venturi, in a press release. "With the explosive growth of music enabled phones, the Venturi Mini brings a new dimension to the in-car music experience, while allowing safe hands-free calling."

The Venturi Mini also has a built-in charger to power your devices on the move and is designed to work with all vehicles.

Featuring Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, the Venturi Mini allows high quality stereo audio to be transferred from your phone or MP3 player. Users have the facility to connect up to four separate Bluetooth devices and also attach an iPod or MP3 player by cable.

Moreover, the Venturi Mini adopts new noise eliminating technology, which offers crystal clear hands-free audio for mobile calling. A new generation of digital FM transmitter using RDBS technology displays information on the in-vehicle radio screen, including phonebook contacts, device menus and calling party identification. The moment users get an incoming call, The Venturi Mini will automatically pause to play music and then resume playback once the call is terminated. Added to this, it will also ensure that the device is charged.

Additional features include an auto-sensing audio-in socket for MP3 players, advanced noise reduction technology to minimize background noise and an ambient light sensor that adjusts the white OLED display's brightness for all conditions. A stereo audio-out connection also provides a direct connection to the car audio system.

The Venturi Mini has also bagged a CES (News - Alert) Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Award in the In-Vehicle Accessories product category.
