Incipio Technologies, Inc. has announced the availability of the IncipioSlice, a universal Dock Connector adapter for Apple (News
) iPod Shuffle. The Slice has been designed to work with virtually all iPod docks and cables. It allows user to quickly and conveniently use the iPod shuffle with other iPod cables and chargers.
"No more giving up USB ports for that fragile iPod shuffle dock,” said Andy Fathollahi, president of Incipio Technologies, in a press release. “The Slice is small enough, about the size of an iPod nano base and a little bit shorter than the iPod shuffle, to fit and work with virtually all docks and accessories. Just move the switch to charge or sync/play. We saw a tremendous amount of interest and enthusiasm last year when we introduced the IncipioBud, USB adapter for the iPod shuffle, and we thought we would step it up notch with the Slice.”
The IncipioSlice Universal Dock Connector Adapter features a headphone plug and connector on one end and a standard 30-pin Dock Connector on the other end opening up a deep opportunity for iPod shuffle owners. The iPod shuffle can now work with speaker docks, standard iPod vehicle chargers; self powered FM transmitters. Weighing in at less than 6 grams and is a tiny 40mm X 18mm small. The Slice and the iPod shuffle feel as though they were separated in Cupertino. A small switch on the front switches the Slice between charging mode and playback mode.
The IncipioSlice Universal Dock Adapter is compatible with all models of the iPod shuffle 2nd & 3rd Generation and most aftermarket iPod accessories. The IncipioSlice is also designed to work with the IncipioHitch USB adapter providing slim portable charging and synchronization for the iPod shuffle when plugged into the Slice.
