Mobio Networks has announced the launch of GetMobio lifestyle portal for Windows Mobile smart phone users across major U.S. carriers.
According to the company, Windows Mobile users will be able to enjoy all the Mobio widgets and applications with GetMobio, a collection of over 50 Web service mashups, which include nightclubs, restaurants and local events.
In addition, with Mobio’s latest widget, Cheap Gas, Windows Mobile users will be able to find the lowest cost gas stations near any location and even filter search results by brand right on the handset.
Mentioning that Windows Mobile has been the leading wireless connectivity solution for hundreds of thousands of business users, Marcia Kadanoff, vice president of marketing at Mobio, said, “Today’s functions such as e-mail and browsing the Internet have become integral parts of non-professional lifestyle needs as well, so we’re seeing a large number of consumers selecting Windows Mobile for personal usage. We’re pleased to offer all Windows Mobile customers the fun and functionality of the GetMobio mobile lifestyle portal on their favorite devices.”
Kadanoff also pointed out that Mobio’s applications are created to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of users. He remarked, “By simply entering their information once, users can personalize their experience across all GetMobio collections to create a more intuitive, seamless interaction.”
GetMobio is a free service that consists of over 50 applications, widgets and RSS feeds.
