Visto, one of the leading global providers of mobile email, has made Visto Mobile for the Apple ( News - Alert) iPhone available for individuals and corporate IT departments.
iPhone ( News - Alert) users now would be able to securely access corporate email from Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes on their devices, without downloading any additional software to the iPhone or requiring any changes to security policies or corporate firewall settings.
Established in 1996 and headquartered in Redwood Shores, California, with offices in Seattle, Toronto, London, Milan, Paris, Madrid, Dusseldorf, Tokyo, and Tianjin, China, Visto ( News - Alert) delivers the leading global platform for mobile operators to provide easy-to-use mobile e-mail to the broadest set of devices.
Visto's open solution enables email for the mass market, targeting enterprises, small businesses mobile professionals and consumers.

For the benefit of users, Visto also came out with a new capability for the iPhone — directory lookup for the corporate directory, which would enable individuals to search for any contact and either place a call, send an email or get driving directions by selecting the contact's phone number, email address or physical address.
Users will be able to send and receive attachments, receive rich HTML e-mail and view e-mails as they were originally sent.
"Visto Mobile provides Samson with an easy-to-use corporate e-mail service that didn't require any changes to our existing email infrastructure," said Johnny Callison, Server and Storage Supervisor for Samson Investment. "The Visto service took minutes to setup and the instructions were very easy to follow. Without Visto Mobile, we would not be able to give our iPhone users the critical email functionality that they need to perform their jobs."
Moreover, Visto Mobile for iPhone comes free for 60 days for both individuals and enterprises. After 60 days, pricing will begin at $10 per device per month.
