Fun In The Sun!
We
had so much fun and success at our last two sold-out Internet
Telephony Conference & EXPOs that we decided to launch a new show,
which will be held in Miami on February 79. Based on one of the best
conference programs in the industry and featuring an exciting exhibit hall
with industry-leading vendors and a variety of attractions and
demonstrations, Technology Marketing Corporation expects its latest show
to be an outstanding hit.
Internet Telephony Conference & Expo Miami 2001 will be held at
Hotel Inter-Continental in tropical Miami, FL. In the heart of downtown
Miami's financial, commercial, and shopping districts, the hotel overlooks
Biscayne Bay and features a number of amenities which add up to a relaxing
but productive show stay. If you're searching for information, education,
and networking opportunities and don't mind a splash of Florida sunshine
and salt air, then this conference is the place for you.
CONVERGENET
Ah, the urge to converge (as ConvergeNET Director Adam Altman describes
it). Now that Internet telephony has become a recognized and growing
industry, the importance of getting different vendors' products to
interoperate is now paramount. We established ConvergeNET at our first
Internet Telephony Expo in 1999 as a proving ground for IP telephony
interoperability. The event has taken off in scope and participation, and
both the failures and successes demonstrated in each attempt to converge
signify the importance the industry is placing on finding a common
standard for interworking.
ConvergeNET is a TCP/IP-based network bringing together IP telephony
gateways, gatekeepers, applications servers, IP phones, and even billing
systems to examine standards compliance and interoperability. For more
information on how to participate in this event, contact Marc Robins at
203-852-6800 x124 or mrobins@tmcnet.com.
CONFERENCE TRACKS
The show has much to offer the communications ASP audience, with
Service Provider, Corporate/Enterprise, and General & Special Interest
tracks, just to name a few. The sessions listed below offer an overview of
some of the conferences that will directly address the hosted
communications model.
IP-Based Outsourced Communications: New Services, New Options
Part of the Corporate/Enterprise track, this session will discuss the real
benefits of the communications ASP model for your business, and how
outsourcing parts of your corporate communications can work to your
advantage.
CASP Rising: The Emergence of The Communications Application Service
Provider
As a part of the Service Provider track geared toward carriers, telcos,
CLECs, and ISPs, this session will look at the different types of CASP
offerings available and the business and technical issues involved in the
CASP business model.
Focus on Softswitch Technology
Relevant for any next-generation service provider, softswitch offerings
are promising to overcome many of the limitations of traditional central
office equipment. They offer a distinct advantage to CASPs by allowing
rapid deployment of new services as well as offering an open application
development environment.
Closing The Gap: Voice Portals and Audio ISPs Deliver Universal
Access, and More
This session will discuss the emergence of Voice eXtensible Markup
Language (VXML) and how it is expected to advance the growing voice
browser/voice portal market. This simple markup language works with speech
recognition technology and Internet and intranet applications to deliver a
whole new breed of Web portal.
NETWORKING RECEPTIONS
What better way to end a day of conferences and exhibit hall
demonstrations than to kick back with free cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at
our renowned networking receptions? The receptions will be held Wednesday
after the keynote addresses, and Thursday after the exhibit hall closes.
These events offer an opportunity to relax after a long day of learning
while meeting exciting new partners and peers in a casual setting -- the
perfect environment for starting or cementing important relationships.
The events and conferences listed above are just a small part of the
many exciting opportunities that await you at Internet Telephony
Conference & Expo Miami 2001. We pride ourselves in putting on a
quality show where the emphasis is on educating our participants and
ensuring they have plenty of opportunities to make lasting relationships
with the key players in their respective markets. An intimate location in
a beautiful resort area facilitates those partnerships while offering a
unique opportunity for sun and surf in February! For more information,
