The new solution boasts a 1:1 verification and 1: many matching modes as well as identification speeds of up to 40,000 fingerprints per second, a news release noted. It can also be integrated with security systems, interfaces, scanners or databases and gives integrators control of the SDK input and output.
SDK has been recognized for its accuracy and ability to provide biometric applications for governments and businesses needing secure identification systems.
In addition to enhanced reliability and support offered from the new version, the inclusion of support for the Mac OSX platform provides increased platform support and the option to develop mixed/embedded systems.
With the new version, more accurate fingerprint scans are provided. If the system fails to recognize a fingerprint can initially, it is scanned again for guaranteed accuracy.
"Ninety percent of our development efforts for this version focused on further enhancing reliability. With the enhanced reliability, matching speeds and multi-platform capabilities of VeriFinger 5.0, customers can implement more extensive fingerprint identification systems in a broad range of environments, including Macintosh-based products as well as mixed embedded PC-systems," commented Algimantas Malickas, CEO of Neurotechnologija in a statement to the press.
