TMC adds Michelle Amodio as Alternative Power Blogger

TMCnet News

(Norwalk, CT – October 26, 2006) Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) today announced its newest feature on TMC’s Alternative Power Web site, www.altpowermag.com, a blog devoted to alternative power. As a new addition to TMC’s revamped Web site Alternative Power, Michelle Amodio will become the Web site’s first blogger dedicated to alternative power.

Amodio is an associate editor with TMC. She joined the company in May of 2004 as assistant online content director. She eventually moved to the Channels program as the first editor to help sponsors promote their news, products and announcements through TMCnet’s successful program. Since then, Amodio has grown in her Channels position to TMCnet’s Online Communities, where she further ensures ROI for clients.

Amodio holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in writing and communications.

“I'm happy to be on board to cover the alternative power space as it is something that interests me quite a bit,” Amodio said. “Why an alternative power blog? If you’ve been watching the news, you might have noticed that topics such as E85, flexible fuel vehicles, fuel cells, solar power and wind power are becoming news-worthy, particularly in an era where oil prices are sky rocketing and there’s a strong need for oil alternatives and independence.”

Originally launched in 2002, Alternative Power has experienced increased traffic levels as the demand for research and development of new power sources increases, due in part to the rise in cost of traditional energy resources.

Alternative Power magazine is dedicated to the latest news and information in the alternative energy industry. The site features news stories covering hybrid vehicles, hydro power systems, solar power, photovoltaic technology and wind power. It also includes feature articles and links to industry resources.

“Michelle has proven to be a valuable edition to our editorial staff and I am confident that in her new role as blogger for Altnernative Power magazine she will bring fresh views and valuable information in her own charismatic style,” commented Rich Tehrani, president of TMC.

“With recent interest in alternate energy resources from mainstream investors to governments worldwide, creating a blog as an additional tool to learn more about such important topics as wind, ethanol and solar power is a natural progression,” continued Tehrani. “It’s our goal to keep taking advances toward becoming the industry’s leading source for news as these fascinating developments in alternative energy become viable solutions as well as profitable business opportunities.”
