Smart Swim Goggles Company FORM Wins 2023 Sports Technology Award and iF Design Award 2023

FORM, the company behind the world's first Smart Swim Goggles, is thrilled to announce it has won two prestigious awards: Wearable of the Year at the 2023 Sports Technology Awards and the iF Design Award 2023 for Product UX.

The Sports Technology Awards are the world's leading celebration of tech-led innovation in sport. FORM was nominated in the category of Smart Apparel, Equipment or Wearable of the Year. The award recognizes the outstanding work FORM is doing in the smart wearable space. FORM Smart Swim Goggles are the world's first augmented reality (AR) swim goggles, allowing swimmers to see accurate, live performance metrics like pace, distance, calories and stroke rate in the AR display. The introduction of these metrics in real-time is a game-changer for the sport of swimming and provides a critical resource for both professional athletes and lifestyle swimmers to unlock their full potential in the pool.

"This is a super-smart solution. At last, swimmers can access training information while swimming or in the water," said the judging panel for the Sports Technology Awards. "Being able to leverage direct feedback in any sport enhances an athlete's overall performance and that swimmers can now access this is a step-change for the sport."

Hosted by the STA Group, the Sports Technology Awards celebrates innovation in sports technology, bringing together companies spanning 19 categories, 37 sports and five continents hat are doing ground-breaking work across the international sports sector. The judges include a team of over 50 international industry leaders and experts, including Olympic champions, professional athletes and sports and technology industry executives. Other notable nominees winners for the 2023 Sports Technology Awards include Apple Fitness+, NBA, Warner Bros. Discovery, and more.

Established in 1953, the iF Design Award is a world-renowned global design award. FORM won the iF Design Award 2023 in the User Experience (UX) discipline and Product UX category for the FORM Smart Swim Goggles and FORM Swim app. Owned by the certified nonprofit iF Design Foundation, the iF Design Awards panel is comprised of 133 jurors that judged almost 11,000 entries from 56 countries in 2023. Scoring is based on five criteria: Differentiation, Form, Function, Idea and Impact. In the iF Final Jury, each entry is assessed by a panel of three jurors using the five criteria.

"These two awards celebrate the most prominent names and brands from across the world in sports innovation and design, and we are honoured that FORM was recognized among them," said Dan Eisenhardt, Founder and CEO of FORM. "Receiving both the Sports Technology Award and iF Design Award is a testament to our mission to use the best technology to help you become a better swimmer. These awards are a celebration of our passionate team in Vancouver and the 70,000 FORM swimmers all around the world."

These mark the second and third awards FORM has won this year, along with Best Swim Product in the 2023 Global Triathlon Awards for the FORM Smart Swim Goggles.
