Optimi, a provider of monitoring systems for wireless technologies, has inked a major planning and optimization contract with Telefónica Mexico in order to help the telecom manage its network's growth and increased demand for voice and data services.
The new agreement calls for Optimi to deploy its x-Dimension, a capital efficiency planning solution, to support Telefónica Mexico's ongoing BSC planning and design. x-Dimension is part of Optimi's X Design and Optimization Product Suite, which enables operators to provision each network node for better service quality and maximization of CapEx and OpEx investments.
Optimi also agreed to provide the telecom with x-AFP (Automatic Frequency Planning), an application that improves spectrum efficiency and QoS, in order to assist in optimizing network performance across the Latin American country. x-AFP is part of Optimi's X Design and Optimization Product Planning Suite.
"We are excited to serve as a strategic partner for Telefónica Mexico and to help them optimize and plan for continued network growth. Our turn-key, customizable applications will significantly reduce operating costs and increase network capacity and performance," commented Optimi's senior vice president of Sales in EMEA & CALA, Juan Melero about the deal announced on Wednesday.
Optimi also announced today that it scored another network planning and optimization software systems contract with a wireless operator in Yemen. For the network planning phase, the operator will use Optimi's x-Wizard network planning application to design the network according to desired criteria. The application enables the operator to manage network growth and increased demand for voice and data services. x-Wizard is part of the X Design and Optimization Product Suite.
