BelAir Networks has been reportedly identified as the market share leader in the overall Service Provider WLAN market, as per Dell’ ( News - Alert)Oro Group’s recently unveiled Q3 2008 Wireless LAN quarterly report. BelAir Networks has held the largest market share in terms of revenue for the fifth consecutive quarter. According to the report, the overall market has witnessed a six percent increase in units shipped.
Wi-Fi blogger Glenn Fleishman commented in a recent article in Ars Technica, on the dominant position BelAir holds.
“BelAir Networks is known for powering the biggest public WiFi ( News - Alert) networks in North America: Minneapolis, Toronto, and Cablevision's in-progress New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut network for its cable data subscribers,” writes Fleishman.” The company is a pioneer in mobile wireless broadband mesh networking solutions.
Last month, TMCnet reported the launch of the new BelAir20 Access Point ( News - Alert) by BelAir Networks. The launch has helped the company maintain its product leadership in the service provider segment. A compact, dual-radio, dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi indoor Access Point, the BelAir20 AP helps service providers enhance the reach of their services.
BelAir Networks offers a full range of products including BelAir20 AP, the flagship four-radio BelAir200, the BelAir200D for Defense applications, the two and three-radio BelAir100, BelAir100T, BelAir100D, and BelAir100M, and the strand-mounted BelAir100S.
