Under a recent agreement between Devicescape and Green Hills Software, Devicescape Easy Wi-Fi will be integrated with the Green Hills Platform.

 

Devicescape Easy Wi-Fi software is a comprehensive product that can be integrated into a wide variety of service-enabled device designs to provide secure, reliable and easy-to-use Wi-Fi network access. By reselling the integrated solution, Green Hills aims to provide its customers with a complete embedded Wi-Fi solution that delivers certification and compliance with the latest Wi-Fi industry standards.

 

The integrated solution enables Green Hills’ customers to quickly and efficiently develop Wi-Fi products that are secure, seamless and reliable. Devicescape refers to the latest quarterly report by Infonetics Research (News - Alert), which indicates the global sales of wireless LAN equipment were up 20 percent in 2007 from 2006. The increase in sales was due to the increased rollout of enterprise wireless LANs and the ubiquity of WLAN enabled mobile devices.

 

Devicescape officials point out that network connectivity in embedded devices has become extremely common and a number of devices now connect to the Internet or private networks via Wi-Fi. Leveraging the new solution, developers will be able to build electronic devices that incorporate the latest wireless LAN (WLAN) interfaces.
