reportedly announced today that Belkin International, Inc. has selected the ACE channel emulator and ADEPT-n MIMO test platform to automate the testing of its N and N1 wireless networking product lines.
The ACE channel emulator and ADEPT-n MIMO test platform provide a framework for automated and repeatable performance, interoperability and functional testing of 802.11n devices.
The use of the ACE channel emulator and ADEPT-n from Azimuth will help in streamlining Belkin’s quality assurance processes.
Belkin’s N and N1 Wireless Routers are based on the 802.11n draft standard. The Routers use MIMO spatial multiplexing techniques to provide wireless networking products with increased speed, coverage and reliability. Azimuth’s automated test solutions, including the ACE channel emulator and ADEPT-n, meet high-fidelity requirements of MIMO and beam-forming communications technologies used in products such as Belkin’s N and N1 lines.
“Belkin is committed to provide the best user experience in the home networking market, and Azimuth’s reputation in the WiFi (

Azimuth’s ACE family of MIMO-optimized channel emulators have RF capabilities that enable the testing of mobility, high throughput and extended range promised by multi-antenna wireless transmissions. The ADEPT-n MIMO test platform is a single-box, point-to-multi-point tester that enable repeatable performance, interoperability and functional testing of 802.11n devices.
Used in conjunction, the two products offer test solution for semiconductor vendors, device manufacturers and service providers testing 802.11n services and solutions.
“802.11n represents the forefront of WiFi technology and vendors are being challenged to deliver high-performance products while keeping the costs of their operations in check,” said Graham Celine, senior director of marketing at Azimuth Systems. “As the provider of the industry’s most comprehensive suite of WiFi engineering test equipment, we’re pleased that Belkin has selected our unique, automated testing approach to perform their advanced MIMO testing.”
