Seamless Wi-Fi (News - Alert), Inc., a company engaged in development and distribution of state of the art secure hardware and software Internet communications solutions, has announced one of the three subsidiaries of the company, Seamless Internet, Inc. has made an agreement with Garmin (News - Alert) USA, Inc. According to the agreement, Seamless Internet will now be provided access to Garmin Mobile XT software for installation into one of its products.

 

The agreement states that Seamless Internet will be installing the Garmin Mobile XT software on its S-Gen the UMPC (Ultra Mobile Personal Computer), so that the GPS system of S-Gen will add maps to the list of facilities provided by the system to the users, along with the computer, phone, and MP3 player capabilities.

 

John Domerego, president of Seamless Internet, Inc., said this agreement is a tremendous breakthrough in the development of the S-Gen, as Seamless Internet has been very cautious in selecting GPS software to use on S-Gen the UMPC (Ultra Mobile Personal Computer), which is the flagship product of the company, and Garmin is a world leader in GPS Satellite navigation.

 

Domerego noted that there is no better provider than Garmin in offering GPS satellite navigation services, and Seamless Internet is looking forward to a long business relationship with such an outstanding company.

 

The users with systems deploying Garmin Mobile XT, the GPS navigation service by Garmin, provides the customers with accurate and minute voice prompted directions to the desired street addresses and points of interest already saved onto the systems, which comprise of prominent locations such as restaurants, hotels, ATMs, and gas stations.

 

The services have also got Google (News - Alert) Local search service enabled, that enables the users to access more points of interest information through accessing the World Wide Web. The users can deploy the Google Local search service by simply typing in the keywords related to the search query desired by them, and the search results that are relevant to the user depending upon his current location are sorted by geographic relevance, and offered to the user.
