CSR, a provider of personal wireless technology, offers a product portfolio that includes Bluetooth, GPS, FM receivers and Wi-Fi
(IEEE802.11) developed hardware/software solutions, based around its silicon platforms, that incorporate fully integrated radio, baseband and microcontroller elements.
"Since our beginning, CSR has chosen Teradyne for quality, low-cost-of-test solutions that help us stay ahead in the field of emerging wireless technologies,” Patrick McNamee, vice president of product engineering, CSR said.
“It seems fitting to celebrate this significant milestone with Teradyne, the leader in wireless device test, who has enabled us to cost effectively test the millions of current generation wireless devices found in today’s consumer goods. Teradyne’s wireless test product roadmap gives us confidence that the FLEX family will continue to offer the best economics through high-efficiency, multisite test for the next generation of wireless devices.”
CSR uses the Gen4 on its large installed base of FLEX test systems to test their BlueCore device, the world's leading single-chip Bluetooth solution that is
ranked first in every Bluetooth market segment.
“Teradyne is excited to celebrate with CSR on their 500 millionth Bluetooth device shipment,” said Charles Grapy, Europe field operations manager, Teradyne.
“At the same time we’re pleased CSR is marking a milestone with the delivery of Teradyne’s 350th shipment of the Gen4 Microwave instrument. The broad acceptance of the FLEX family by wireless manufacturers and subcontract test houses clearly differentiates Gen4 in the marketplace, and we value customers like CSR who have fueled its success.”
