Tranzeo ( News - Alert) Wireless Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of high-performance wireless broadband solutions including Wi-Fi and WiMAX systems, has announced a partnership with Proximetry Inc., a provider of real-time network and performance management solutions for wireless networks.
As per the partnership, the two companies will focus on improving Wi-Fi and WiMAX ( News - Alert) network performance, while reducing network management costs for operators in vertical as well as developing markets.
Proximetry will integrate its AirSync intelligent provisioning and management software into Tranzeo’s complete range of carrier-class Wi-Fi and WiMAX radios for this purpose.
The integration of Tranzeo’s WiMAX and Wi-Fi radios with Proximetry’s AirSync solution will help network operators benefit from a unified, flexible tool that enables simultaneous monitoring and management of all radios in their network.
Tranzeo delivers an entire spectrum of Wi-Fi access solutions as well as WiMAX equipment that utilize the unlicensed 5.8GHz band and the licensed 3.5GHz band.
Proximetry’s AirSync solution helps users efficiently monitor and optimize all wireless connections in the network. This results in maximum throughput, services, and end-user satisfaction. The product’s intelligent provisioning feature synchronizes network resources with user and device priorities. Additionally, it enables dynamic bandwidth allocations for changing user requirements. AirSync leverages predictive routing and resource configuration to optimize throughput.
“Tranzeo is in a unique position to be able to combine its Wi-Fi and WiMAX solutions and deliver the benefits of both technologies in one network,” Tranzeo USA President Dave Gelvin, who oversees the company’s WiMAX product line, was quoted as saying. “The integration of Proximetry’s intelligent AirSync technology with our entire product line of broadband wireless equipment will simplify network deployments and reduce network management costs for national carriers as well as local WISPs.”
"WiMAX is expanding beyond its traditional licensed-band, carrier applications,” Tracy Trent, Proximetry’s chief executive officer also commented.
“Service providers of all types want the increased capacity, flexibility, and range of WiMAX-enabled solutions, and this is especially true for specialized networks catering to energy companies, municipalities, and other vertical markets. The combination of Tranzeo’s products with AirSync allows WiMAX to be affordable for developing countries as they roll out next-generation broadband services."
