Alert) Technologies, a provider of advanced wireless technology solutions, has entered into an agreement with MetroPCS to purchase the Interop Over-the-Air Device Management Solution 3.3 for commercial deployment in all of its operating U.S. markets in Q4 2007.
The Interop Technologies OTA solution will serve MetroPCS and as the company enters new markets and looks to grow its business. Interop Technologies solution supports encrypted programming, increasing network security and reducing potential fraud.
Interop Technologies provides advanced wireless technology solutions for the global wireless, packaged goods, and content industries. The company delivers hosted and turnkey messaging, device management, and personalization solutions. These technologies help to increase revenue and brand loyalty for major companies as well as meet consumer demands for innovative services.
John Dwyer, President and CEO, Interop Technologies said in a statement to the press, “We are pleased to leverage our network operations experience and state-of-the-art technology to deliver the reliability and scalability that MetroPCS requires. We look forward to supporting MetroPCS and its success in the market.”
The highly scalable, Interop OTA 3.3 solution was selected by MetroPCS for its quick, efficient device activations for new customers and provides accurate, large-scale roaming
list updates for subscriber handsets.
For MetroPCS and its customers, this is a convenient feature as the operator can look to reduce costs. MetroPCS is able to adjust its Preferred Roaming List automatically to manage cost structures and can react quickly to changing roaming relationships in a competitive market with the help of SS7-based OTA 3.3 solution.
