The Cellular Connection, the largest Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless Premium Retailer in the Midwest, has emerged literally unscathed from the downturn in economy, and has registered significant growth, and if the present trend is any indication, the future appears positive and bright for the company.
According to Scott Moorehead, president and CEO of the Cellular Connection, the third quarter of 2010 has been the most momentous to date and in an economy where retailers across all industries were struggling to survive, Cellular Connection was thriving and showed no signs of slowing down. He further added that he looked forward to ending 2010 on the same high note.
The 2010 Inc. 5000, Inc. magazine's prestigious list of America's fastest-growing private companies has included Cellular Connection in its list as it registered a sales growth of more than 120 percent over the past three years.
Cellular attributes its meteoric growth largely to its partnership with hhgregg, Inc., now one of the nation's top retailers of consumer electronics and major appliances, as it has enabled Cellular Connection to open Verizon Wireless (News - Alert) kiosks in every hhgregg store across the country. As a result the company has added 161 new locations across the country and has succeeded in creating more than 400 jobs.
The Verizon wireless kiosks are actually full-fledged service stores that not only offer customers the latest smartphones, cell phones and other products, but also function like any other Verizon store where customers can pay bills, obtain service, upgrade or change their service plan.
Founded in Marion, Ind., in 1991 by Steve and Phyllis Moorehead, the Cellular Connection owes its success to its ability to hire top-notch professionals who understand the meaning of customer service.
In a related news release, the Cellular Connection, the largest Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer in the Midwest, announced the grand opening of its new store in Palmyra, Pa. This is the 48th location in the state of Pennsylvania for the Cellular Connection.
