Webinar - A Reasonable Facsimile Remains Mission Critical

Way back in 1897, noted U.S. humorist Samuel Langhorne Clemens (better known as Mark Twain), in response to a story that he had died, responded, “The report of my death was an exaggeration!”  This has subsequently become a famous misquote still attributable to Twain that, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” Regardless of the quote used, Twain made an great point and lived many more extremely productive years.  In fact, some say his most productive. And such has been the case with facsimile.

Yes we are all more than familiar, even those just entering the workforce , that this includes sending and receiving faxes using standalone machines, networked devices, over the Internet or via facsimiles services. In short, while it may not be sexy, the reports of facsimile’s death are greatly over-exaggerated. It remains today a vital part of intra and inter-corporate communications along with the means by which those with home offices send and receive mission-critical legal documents.

The facts about fax are that not only is far from obsolete, but by leveraging both the ubiquity of telephone numbers as well as its integration with a host of unified communications (UC) capabilities and the Internet - its future seems assured.

The question that arises is why fax needs to be an important part of your communications arsenal. A way to better understand the role state-of-the-art facsimile can and why it should be part of the way in which your organization interacts with all of your stakeholders, is to attend an insightful four-part webinar series sponsored by OpenText, Fax: Moving from Tradition to Contemporary
