Webinar - Businesses Should Examine Several Factors When Deploying and Expanding their M2M Plan

In the era of the Internet of Things (IoT), connectivity is key and machines must be able to reliably communicate with other machines. Companies of all sizes, hailing from a variety of industries, are looking for reliable M2M and IoT programs to keep their costs down, maintain efficiencies throughout their operations and provide their customers with the highest levels of performance and value.

While cost is always a driving factor in major IT decisions, providing value to customers is a strong factor and one that is steering the direction of many of today’s IT programs. Businesses in markets ranging from utilities to transportation to manufacturing to healthcare to retail are discovering the benefits of deploying an optimized M2M program to streamline their operations.

Before choosing a program and an M2M/IoT solution provider, there are a number of considerations that should be taken into account. Billing, product manufacturing, human capital management and the careful selection and testing of devices being used are all important variables. A reliable M2M plan will also account for scalability and future growth and will look at which services should be outsourced and which can remain in-house.

A thorough plan will also examine how new revenue and growth opportunities may be identified as well as look at the right timing for growth and scalability. Finally, a proper M2M plan should provide benchmarks for measuring success and also offer a concrete game plan for the future.
