Webinar - Managing and Securing Passwords Made Easier and More Secure

We all know the problem whether as just plain users, or more importantly as IT professionals. In an age where user authentication/identity has become the new perimeter for keeping enterprises safe from the mischief of bad actors, the front line of defense is managing and securing passwords.

Since passwords are literally the gateway to our ability to do anything with computers and online resources, the problem is that to be safe and secure best practices dictate that we change our passwords frequently. This is a headache for us to come up with easy to remember but not easily compromised passwords and for IT to keep on top of in terms of validating us. In addition, single sign on has been the goal for increasing ease of use, which is then layered with various types of multi-factor authentication and various types of encryption to protect data at rest and on the fly once our credentials have been established that we are who we say we are.

In short, this is complicated. However, to provide everyone a better user experience and take a significant load off of IT this does not have to be the case.

If your organization is struggling with password management, and whose is not, you should join me and Dean Wiech (News - Alert), Managing Director and Michael McCarty, Director – Presales and support at Tools4ever, for the Tuesday, March 11 (2:00PM EDT) webinar, Achieving Cost Savings with Password Management.

The session is designed to enable participants to learn how Tools4ever (News - Alert) has helped companies of all sizes in every vertical market can increase employee productivity and significantly reduce help desk calls related to forgotten passwords.  In addition, it will detail how a single sign on solution can increase application security and reduce the time employees spend logging in to all their applications and systems.

The webinar will provide practical advice on how to deal with what can rightfully be described as the “Password Management Crisis,” and help tame the two problems of help desk inundation and cost by enabling IT to do more with less—improving the user experience while simultaneously also enhancing security.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • How to reduce calls to help desk associated with forgotten password
  • Provide 24/7 support for forgotten passwords with no staff increases
  • Securely provide Single Sign On to network and cloud applications

As an enticement 10 randomly selected participants will win a $25 gift certificate to Starbucks.

While it may seem like a plumbing issue to end users that causes frustration, there is little doubt that indentify governance and administration is a costly and time-consuming issue for IT that is only increasing as the number of devices we all use to access valuable corporate resources explodes.  Learn about best practices and get your questions answered on how to better manage passwords and mitigate the risks associated with improper password management.
