Webinar - Today's Collaboration Solutions Help Global Businesses Unify Distributed Business Assets

As business becomes more global, many companies find they are no longer one or two groups of people in a few locations, but instead an entity with workers spread all over the country, or even the world.

While the model has many upsides – the ability to take advantage of partnerships all over the globe, access to labor pools unrestricted by location and “follow-the-sun” uptime in conducting business – it also has a number of drawbacks, not the least of which is a lack of proximity to collaborative work.

Fortunately, business solutions like video conferencing, cloud-based solutions and collaborative information sharing are going a long way toward helping companies pull together groups of people who are geographically disparate.

The key, however, is to implement a robust collaboration platform that allows for central data storage with simplified content delivery. Many companies are finding success with these types of collaboration solutions, particularly companies that have human and technology resources scattered all over the world.

One such company, animated film powerhouse DreamWorks Animation (DWA), is an excellent example of how to use collaborative solutions to embark on very large projects. To help companies learn from example when it comes to implementing collaboration solutions, on Tuesday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. PST (3:00 pm EST), cloud-storage solutions provider Panzura and HP, together with TMCnet, will present an interactive Webinar that will discuss how their solution is helping companies like DreamWorks collaborate on large production projects.

Joining the conversation will be Ryan Granard, DWA’s Senior Director of Digital Operations, who will share how HP Cloud Services integrated with the Panzura Global Cloud Storage System enables a “follow the sun” content production that ties together the distributed teams.

Attendees will learn about the challenges of facilitating global collaboration, the impact of a robust collaboration platform and a central data store, and how to simplify international data sharing as a content delivery network.
