Webinar - Sprint to Host Webinar about the Importance of 24/7 Asset Monitoring

It’s 10 p.m. Do you know where your inventory is?

In just a few days, on Thursday, Nov. 17, at noon EST/9 a.m. PST, Sprint (News - Alert) will host a free webinar which will highlight how insurers, warehouses, and trucking companies can leverage wireless technology for improved tracking and monitoring. The webinar, titled “24/7 Asset Monitoring: do you know where your inventory is?,” will shed light on why tracking and monitoring corporate assets, inventory, deliveries, and the whereabouts of individuals is of critical importance in industries such as shipping and trucking, insurance, security, and law enforcement.

“Effective, accurate location and behavior tracking solutions are essential to protect valuable corporate assets, reduce theft and loss, and ensure the safety of individuals and communities,” Sprint officials said of the webinar. “Sprint Emerging Solutions Group has partnered with industry leaders to deliver wireless-enabled, location-based solutions that deliver dramatic improvement over legacy tracking and monitoring methods—and with less time and cost necessary for both implementation and ongoing use.”

The webinar will detail the capabilities and benefits of wireless-based solutions that will improve the visibility and security of your most important assets, according to Sprint.

Attendees will take away from the webinar: insights, industry trends and best practices from the perspectives of two leaders in wireless-based asset tracking: Omnilink and Sendum; and how Sprint’s network allows for the rapid implementation of a high-performing, wireless-based solution.

Those who should attend include:

-          Chief security and loss prevention officers at warehouse, trucking and insurance companies

-          Construction site owners

-          Law enforcement technology decision makers

-          Insurance underwriters who provide coverage to assets while in transit

Presenters include: Steve Hudson, chief development officer at Omnilink; Wayne Chester, president and CEO of Sendum Wireless Corporation; and Steve Myers, senior product manager of the Sprint Emerging Solutions Group.

Hudson has 20 years of telecommunications experience and has been a leading force and thought leader in location based services (LBS) and M2M segments. As chief development Officer for Omnilink, Hudson is responsible for Omnilink's Commercial growth strategy, alliances, business development, channel sales, corporate development, and industry collaboration.

Chester’s career in the technology industry spans executive, marketing and sales management, and technical roles in wireless communications, medical devices, utilities and banking systems. Before founding co-founding Sendum in 2001 with Kerry Zoehner, Chester was senior vice president of Wireless Products at Glenayre, the world's leading provider of wireless data messaging platforms and infrastructure.

Rounding out the group of presenters is Myers, an 18-year Sprint veteran. His current focus is on addressing the challenges facing enterprises implementing mobile wireless solutions. The growing area of mobile enterprise data is a cornerstone of Myers experience over the past eight years, including a focus on enterprise data services, M2M and LBS.
