Chat Translation Provider Lionbridge Offers Tips on Transitioning Call Center Agents into Global Communicators in Recent Webinar
Lionbridge offers a chat translation platform called Geofluent that can easily address the global communication challenge. This platform enables global enterprises to utilize a cloud-based, customized real-time translation platform that instantly translates content and communications in multiple languages, enabling language barriers to be completely eliminated.
Yvonne Cekel, vice president of SaaS and communities, Lionbridge spoke about when a U.S. retailer is looking to expand internationally, margins in retails are extremely thin so in most cases the biggest obstacles to expanding internationally is the labor and upfront capital investment. This process can be extremely costly and time intensive, however with Geofluent, organizations can enable retailers to expand without any required costs typically associated with new facilities, hiring and staffing. Instead, the company can simply utilize their current group of employees and it expand it when needed, based upon increasing demands. This approach not only reduces overall expenses, it dramatically improves the bottom line.
“The ability to enter a new market can be increased substantially because Geofluent makes international market expansion accessible even to the smallest organization. Businesses can expand market reach and increase revenues at a much lower cost than previously possible,” Cekel added.
Saul Marcus, senior product manager, Lionbridge added, “In a nut shell, Geofluent is a SaaS- based real-time translation technology that instantly translates content and communications from one language to another. Based on a machine translation engine from IBM (News - Alert) Watson Labs, Lionbridge adds the critical customization feature that preserves your brand, product and industry terminology—increasing comprehension. Geofluent can be easily integrated with enterprise applications such as websites, e-mail, and chat programs.
