Webinar - NEI Webinar Focuses on Need for Simplicity, Appliance Deployment Solutions to Grow Profits

In today’s highly competitive market, ISVs and OEMs must be on the look out for innovative ways to deliver and market their applications while also securing, managing and supporting a mix of physical, virtual and cloud-based deployments.

In order to guarantee better operational efficiencies and bottom line profit, security, application management and lifecycle control technologies are key.

During a recent TMC (News - Alert) webinar, “Solving Application Deployment Challenges to Grow Profits,”  Glenn O’Donnell, senior analyst at Forrester Research, led a group of guest panelists from Dell (News - Alert), NEI and Trustwave, in a discussion focused on  how to implement value-add technologies that save time, money and precious resources.

Commenting on the need for simplicity, Charlie McPhail, sales engineer at Dell OEM (News - Alert) Solutions said that with complexity on the rise, Dell’s core focus is on simplifying and trying to lower the barriers and offload as much time to market as possible for customers “so that we can provide a solution for them as quickly as possible.“

“Software customers have one demand,” O’Donnell said. “Simplify my life. My life is complex enough as it is, I don’t need you to make it worse.” The appliance, according to O’Donnell is one way to achieve this that has gained significant popularity.

Also during the webcast, Jeff Hudgins, vice president of marketing at NEI (News - Alert), noted that the company offers support to the markets where ISVs are really looking for a fully integrated solution with full lifecycle management because they don’t have the luxury of time, money and resources that are needed for delivering that solution to the marketplace.

NEI partner company, Trustwave, trying to achieve just that, worked with the company and was able to successfully employ the technologies to help grow revenues and open new market opportunities.

Commenting on the success of their partnership, Tom Wallace, vice president of Customer Service at Trustwave said the NEI/Dell partnership provided the company with the ability to offer a number of flexible deployment options.
