As technology changes continue to accelerate, telecommunication service providers are seeking new ways to manage more complex, high-bandwidth, IP-based data services such as multimedia, full-HTML web browsing, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file sharing, streaming video on hand-held devices, and Internet Video Services. Each of these services requires greater demand from the service provider's infrastructure, necessitating more computing power and I/O than ever before. Of equal importance is the increase in the number of high-severity computer vulnerabilities, and the challenge of reducing threats by performing real-time analysis of network activity to divert malicious traffic.
The IBM BladeCenter HT -- The IT and Network Convergence Platform -- and the new IBM BladeCenter PN41 Security Blade, together with solutions from CloudShield, an industry leading network services management and security provider, can help telecommunications Service Providers reduce time-to-market for delivery of new, revenue generating services, while facilitating efficient management, and maximum performance.
By combining the powerful capabilities of IBM BladeCenter with the performance of CloudShield1, Service Providers can create an ideal foundation for next-generation service management solutions. Subscriber Services Manager (SSM), an additional application sold by CloudShield, provides a subscriber-level traffic management system that helps service providers deliver on their Quality of Service (QoS) and Service Level Agreements (SLA) subscriber commitments. This solution also helps detect and prioritize application traffic with a time of day/week granularity for latency-sensitive applications like VoIP, VoD and on-line gaming applications.
Please attend the IBM sponsored webinar with our Network Security solution partner CloudShield to understand how the IBM Bladecenter HT is assisting telecommunications service providers, Network Equipment Providers and ISV's in supporting the growing demand for high-bandwidth services, by reducing time-to-market and cost, while increasing Security, QoS, and SLA.
Be sure to bring your questions! After the presentation, the webcast will be open for a live Q&A.
