VoIP adoption rates continue to grow and NGN and IMS networks are maturing rapidly, placing unique and new levels of load on today’s networks. Large scale subscriber traffic can create new network issues that are not seen during initial deployments. How should operators accurately model these large scale networks in the lab? Chad is responsible for internal and external marketing of the Hammer Testing Portfolio of products and is a regular speaker at trade shows and webinars on the topics of testing and IMS. Prior to Empirix, Chad was Director of VDC’s Telecom Practice where he managed and authored VDC’s groundbreaking IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS): Global Market Demand Analysis. His other published work includes VDC’s Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Enabling Technologies and SS7 and VoIP Infrastructure Equipment. He has held various product management, marketing, and engineering positions with telephony and wireless technology suppliers and operators. Chad has a BSEE and MBA from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Dan is responsible for product management and marketing for Empirix’s Hammer XMS. Dan joined Empirix in December 2005 with 25 years experience in product management and marketing in the telecommunications industry. He most recently served as Director of Product Management at Apani Networks’ Mobile Security Solutions business unit. Prior to Apani, he served as Director - Product Marketing, as well as Director - Business Development at Integral Access, a venture-funded supplier of packet-based, multi-service access solutions. Prior to Integral Access, Dan held several management positions in Market Development and System Engineering at Nortel.
