Scaling Real-Time Communications Applications with Load Balancers

Thursday May 26th, 2016
2:00pm ET/ 11:00am PT

As real-time communications applications evolve in scope and popularity, the ability to scale an application and associated infrastructure becomes increasingly complex. While web-centric Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) perform quite well with distributing HTTP traffic, they have serious shortcomings when dealing with SIP and other stateful communications protocols. Beyond that, the virtualization of communications applications creates unique requirements that are not addressed by appliance-based load balancing solutions. As a result, a new category of software load balancing solutions has emerged, specifically designed to address the unique requirements of real-time communications. Join this event to explore the unique complexities of scaling and reliability for real-time communications and learn about how Dialogic has met the evolving market needs.

What Attendees will Learn:

  • The unique challenges that real-time communications protocols introduce to scaling with traditional ADCs
  • How load balancing improves reliability of applications
  • An introduction to Dialogic PowerVille LB - a load balancer for real-time communications
Who should Attend:
  • Those responsible for communications application development in service providers, over-the-top providers and enterprises. In-the-trench developers to executives.
