Making Unified Communications Relevant for your Business

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 2:00pm ET / 11:00am PT

Unified Communications has become a popular topic for media articles and conference sessions, and it is being pushed by equipment makers and service providers alike as the next great must have in communications. With all the hype, companies everywhere are asking themselves, What is UC, is it right for my business, and how can I know? This seminar describes a repeatable methodology enterprises can use to evaluate when and how UC might be applicable to their business. We begin by providing results from end user surveys and customer interviews to provide seminar attendees with a snapshot of how real end users and customers perceive unified communications. We then discuss how great companies implement technology by focusing on people and process. Next, we describe a three-step methodology that is resonating with customers considering unified communications, and we conclude by discussing a few real companies who have used this methodology, describing the results they are seeing. Wainhouse Research Senior Research Analyst Brent Kelly will be presenting the research details from his recent customer study and Shane Yu, Director, Avaya UC Consulting Practice, will be sharing best practices from his customer experiences.
