Fred Zimmerman


	Fred Zimmerman Executive Director, Customer Premises Solutions Packet Voice and Video Business Unit Texas Instruments

As the Executive Director of product development and management for customer premises solutions at TIï¿½s Packet Voice and Video business, Fred Zimmerman defines the strategies and products to support the adoption of Voice over IP in access gateways, IP phones, WLAN IP phones, cable/DSL modems and video telephony products. Prior to his current position, Zimmerman served as the Director of Silicon Platform Development for the VoIP business unit. Previously, he was the department manager for Advanced Digital Solutions, a business unit developing embedded DSP chipset solutions for storage applications. He has held a variety of engineering and management roles in groups focusing on consumer, PC, and military semiconductor applications during a career spanning over 20 years. Zimmerman has a bachelorï¿½s degree in Computer Science from Regents College in New York. He is also a Member Emeritus of the group technical staff at TI. Back to Keynotes
