New 'Video Express' Solution Looks Simply Video Integration

By Luke Bellos September 24, 2021

Cloud communications leader Vonage recently announced the launch of a new tool designed to assist developers with integrating video into multi party calls.

Prior to the start of the pandemic, video calling had a relatively simple approach. Calls would simply connect from one user to another, which require very little configuration to work properly. However, the massive surge in conferencing usage has shifted entire companies to the digital world, forcing more people than ever before to use these tools all at once. This migration to remote activity has caused video quality and functionality to decrease, which is problematic for a work culture that is dependent on these services.

To address this new influx of video activity for businesses, Vonage (News - Alert) has developed the Video Express solution, which allows customers to develop customizable video experiences for multi-party video calls, without technical expertise. Leveraging Vonage API, users will also have the ability to automate room management, conference layout, and video quality. This added level of control could have wide applications for areas including education, telehealth, and entertainment, allowing administrators to have total control over video experiences without advanced coding knowledge.

“The pandemic has ushered in a new era for video communications, with consumers, students, patients, and employees now appreciating the value of this medium,” said Courtney Munroe, Vice President, Worldwide Telecommunications at IDC (News - Alert). “As we shift into a post-pandemic reality, organizations will need to continue to reinvent themselves by enhancing their customer journeys with innovative digital features. Video communications is showing tremendous growth and expansion, with healthcare, education, events, and business services leading the way with complex multiparty video experiences.”
