AVEVA Introduces Unified Learning Platform for Improved Training

By Luke Bellos September 21, 2021

British industrial software and solution developer AVEVA has announced the launch of AVEVA™ Unified Learning, a new cloud-based training platform for employees that targets specific areas of focus for employees.

Proper employee training is an essential part of company development, but has certainly changed in the digital age. Prior to the wide availability of digital devices, training at most companies was generalized and vague, focusing more on broad strategies that can apply to any employee. But thanks to developments in data analytics and personalization, businesses now have the ability to detail the unique skills and performance of individual employees. This ability allows business leaders to exactly pinpoint employees' weakest areas for improvement, while also discovering the areas in which certain employees thrive.

The new AVEVA Unified Learning solution allows business leaders to approach training on a personal level by utilizing programs that include targeted eLearning, video content, and simulation-based learning programs, all of which can be used on employee devices.

“Effective training programs are essential to help prevent industrial accidents and ensure safety, especially when the workforce is inexperienced or unaccustomed to new plant technologies.” commented Harpreet Gulati, Senior Vice President, Planning, Simulation and Optimization Business, AVEVA. “As the name suggests, AVEVA Unified Learning combines a set of development elements within one cloud-based platform so training managers can customize learning development to each member of their workforce wherever they are. Experiential learning can now be delivered in safe, simulation-based environments while workforce competence and operational excellence can be tracked at the same time.”

Customers who subscribe to the new Unified Learning Platform will also have access to AVEVA’s extensive portfolio of training applications and simulations for additional employee development.
