Westelcom Leverages Rev.io Billing and Customer Management Platform to Support Growth

By Erik Linask August 13, 2021

Communications providers are always looking for new revenue opportunities, whether that’s by rolling out new services, expanding footprint, or both. It’s a necessary part of being in a competitive market.  It also highlights an additional layer of complexity in today’s communications market.

As providers expand their businesses, introduce new services, and adopt new models, they need a back-end solution that can support their growth.  Customers expect billing flexibility and accuracy, and service providers need a platform that will allow them to adapt to evolving needs in order to be competitive.  There’s little that frustrates customers more than billing issues.

With that in mind, communications provider Westelcom has partnered with Rev.io and has integrated Rev.io’s billing platform into its back-office operations, along with Rev.io’s payments processor and customer management system.

About a year ago, Westelcom acquired UC provider Teo, giving it a proprietary UC solution and fast-tracking its geographic expansion.  With the Rev.io platform, Westelcom will be better equipped to manage customers across its expanding footprint, while ensuring efficient, accurate billing, real-time rating, subscription management, quoting, taxation, collections, and other customer enablement capabilities.  It will also be able to more efficiently roll out new products and services.

“The decision to work with Rev.io was an easy one, given the opportunities to improve our back-office efficiency and to provide our customers and partners with enhanced services,” said Paul Barton, President of Westelcom.

With a full suite of business services in its portfolio – UC&C, SD-WAN, Connectivity, Security, Data Center and Colo, and more – Westelcom needed a solution that would allow it to maximize its ability to sell to a variety of customers with differing needs.  Now, with a proven back-end system in place, the Westelcom team can focus on driving growth and other initiatives.  Particularly today, as businesses continue to seek solutions that will enable them to adjust to evolving workforce models, Westelcom can put all of its energy towards selling with its new back-end technology in place.

Rev.io will be exhibiting in booth #535 at ITEXPO 2022, taking place February 8-11, 2022, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  ITEXPO (News - Alert) is part of the #TechSuperShow, delivering businesses the opportunity to learn and about and see firsthand the latest technologies that are driving innovation in business communications and collaboration.  In addition to ITEXPO, #TechSuperShow includes MSP Expo, Future of Work Expo, IoT Evolution Expo, 5G Expo, The Blockchain Event, and more.
