SkySwitch Launches New SIP Trunking Storefront at Vectors 2019

By Erik Linask October 28, 2019

One of the themes that were clear during the opening day at Vectors 2019, the annual SkySwitch user conference, was usability.  While the benefits of Unified Communications (News - Alert) have been well documented and UC can enables businesses to communicate and collaborate more effectively than ever, many businesses have yet to migrate from their legacy solutions because it’s simply not easy enough to make the change.

Understanding that simplifying migration will benefit its reseller and MSP partners – as well as its total user base – SkySwitch has focused heavily on usability and ensuring its partners have the tools they need to transition businesses easily.  Earlier this year, SkySwitch, took some of the complexity out of UC deployments when it launched its network readiness tool, which allows its partners to pre-qualify customers for UCaaS deployment and identify potential trouble spots that might create quality issues.

Today, at Vectors, SkySwitch took yet another step in helping its partners deliver next generation communications to businesses by releasing new features to its Advanced SIP Trunking program, announcing a completely customizable online storefront as part of its reseller dashboard, the portal its resellers use daily.  The enhancements are intended to reduce deployment time, getting end customers up and running faster.

“User experience and user adoption are pivotal to the success of implementing and selling new technologies, which is why we’re excited to announce SkySwitch’s new advanced SIP Trunking program,” said Eric Hernaez (News - Alert), SkySwitch founder and president.  “The simplicity for our resellers’ customers and prospective customers to purchase and manage SIP trunks entirely on their own results in an enhanced user experience.”

From pricing to branding to site design, resellers can completely customize the storefront experience for their customers, allowing businesses to buy SIP trunks through the customized storefront.  In addition, the new Advanced SIP Trunking program allows customers to manage phone numbers and call forwarding features, giving them greater flexibility and control over their own phone systems and flexibility to easily make changes when needed.  The new storefront is automatically configured for secure billing – including integration with usage rating and billing vendor Rev.io, removing the complexity of telecom taxes out of the picture.

By giving its partners a simplified platform for selling SIP trunking, SkySwitch not only makes it easier for businesses to start enjoying the benefits of unified communications, it also gives its partners an easier path to more recurring revenue.  With a reseller base that has doubled in the past year, this attention to deployment simplification will help the company continue to grow its partner base, while creating new revenue potential for its existing partners.
