Forrester Research: SAS Leads in Enterprise Business Intelligence Platform


SAS (News - Alert) has been declared as a leader in the July 2008 Forrester Wave: Enterprise Business Intelligence Platforms, Q3 2008.



 
The report emphasizes that SAS is a one-stop BI shop which offers high-end analytics from a single vendor. The research firm further asserted that there was no reason why SAS will not be able to continue on its track record of uninterrupted 32-year growth.
The Forrester (News - Alert) report says that although there are several other vendors who realize or are beginning to realize the value of providing higher-end analytics tools like statistical analysis and predictive modeling. SAS has a fine lead in this category especially considering the embedding of analytical routines in powerful DBMS engines like Teradata (News - Alert).
 
Worldwide, several companies involved in different industries have successfully deployed SAS BI and predictive analytics for gaining competitive advantage over others.
