MetroPCS Gets Highest Ranking for Customer Satisfaction

MetroPCS Communications, Inc., a provider of unlimited wireless communications service, earned the highest ranking in the J.D. Power and Associates third annual Wireless Prepaid Customer Satisfaction Study.
 
MetroPCS, a Dallas-based company, offers its service for a flat rate with no signed contract.

Power and Associates study is another example of how MetroPCS is committed to consumers,” said Roger Linquist, president and CEO of MetroPCS Communications. “MetroPCS offers an affordable, worry-free, and quality wireless experience. We are truly honored to be recognized by the highly-regarded Prepaid Customer Satisfaction Study from J.D. Power and Associates.”
 
The study provides a comprehensive review of wireless prepaid service and is derived from interviews that occurred from Feb. 11 to July 1. MetroPCS was rated highest among customers in the overall prepaid satisfaction index, scoring well above the industry average in the areas of brand image, cost of service, account management, initial activation and service plan options.
 
MetroPCS owns or has access to licenses covering a population of about 149 million people in 14 of the top 25 largest metropolitan areas in the United States, including New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, Los Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco. As of June 30, Metro PCS has about 4.6 million subscribers in those areas.
 
MetroPCS’ plans range from $30 to $50 per month and allow subscribers to talk all they want, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Unlike most carriers, MetroPCS doesn’t require a signed contract, which means that consumers can activate service without going through a credit check or paying a deposit.
 
While options and services depend on the selected plan, subscribers can further enhance their service with “unlimited” advanced feature packages that include voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, three-way calling, text and picture messaging, push e-mail, mobile Internet browsing, mobile instant messaging, and the recently announced unlimited Metro411, a voice-activated, premium directory assistance service.
