16 Percent of E-Mails Delivered to Inbox are Considered Spam by Business Users: Survey

Business users send 41 e-mail messages per day, and receive approximately 100 e-mail messages per day, according to a survey by Radicati Group.

Of the 100 daily e-mails received, 24 e-mails per day include an attachment. 16 percent of e-mail delivered to the inbox is considered spam by recipients. However, spam rates are decreasing from previous years.

Eighty five percent of surveyed respondents said they access e-mail from their mobile phone for business purposes on a daily basis, Radicati Group said in its report called “Survey: Corporate E-mail, 2011-2012.”

The survey covers detailed data on the deployment of Microsoft Exchange, IBM (News - Alert) Lotus Notes, other business e-mail platforms, and hosted e-mail solutions by corporate organizations.
