GloboTech Delivers VMware's SDDC

GloboTech Communications has added VMware’s software-defined data center to its portfolio. This solution enables organizations to self provision virtual machines in their private environments and have those resources available on demand. VMware Cloud Foundation is the name of the  SDDC solution. It brings together VMware’s NSX, vSAN, and vSphere. And it supports qualified vSAN ready nodes from Dell, HP, and QCT.

CarrierSales Joins 8x8 (News - Alert)

8x8 Inc. has added CarrierSales to its collection of channel partners. As a result, the master agent will be selling 8x8’s Virtual Contact Center and Virtual Office solutions. This new relationship is part of a larger 8x8 effort called Channel 2.0. This expanded channel program is aimed at helping 8x8 partners transition from selling on-premises based solutions to cloud-based communications.

RingCentral (News - Alert) Jumps Aboard Carousel

Enterprise cloud communications and collaboration solutions provider RingCentral has joined forces with integrator and managed services provider Carousel Industries. The two are go-to-market partners in North America. “Large enterprises need solutions that meet their specific needs and allow for expansion as their business, communications, and collaboration requirements change,” said Jim Marsh, chief revenue officer at Carousel Industries. “Our account teams help advise enterprise clients on how to move beyond the complexity of their existing legacy on-premise communications systems to the flexibility and simplicity afforded by the cloud. RingCentral is a natural fit, and we’re already seeing huge enterprise demand for their solution.” 

 PlanetOne to Sell Aryaka SD-WAN Solution

Master agency PlanetOne has cut a deal to sell Aryaka’s SD-WAN solution. Jim Hilbert, chief revenue officer at Aryaka, had this to say about the deal: “As global businesses look to replace their legacy MPLS-based connectivity, they need a WAN solution that is quick to deploy, affordable to use, simple to manage, and offers performance improvements for all applications including SaaS (News - Alert); all this in addition to the reliability and consistency traditional MPLS users have come to expect. Aryaka’s global SD-WAN is the ideal MPLS replacement solution. Our partnership with PlanetOne will help us expand our market footprint and channel revenue.”

 OTG Consulting Welcomes Byrd, Cuthbert

Master agency OTG Consulting has hired on David Byrd and David Cuthbert to its team of senior telecommunications and information technology partners. Byrd is the founder and chief creative officer for Raven Guru Marketing, which offers fractional CMO services, general and digital marketing services, and consulting for acquisition/inbound marketing programs. He has previously served as CMO, executive vice president of sales, and vice president of alliances for several telecom and technology firms. As for Cuthbert, he is the principal at Blue Wave Consulting, which does business plan development, strategic planning and execution, and technology integration. He was previously CEO at Alteva (News - Alert). “I have worked with Cuthbert and Byrd in several capacities over the years and have admired the skills and experience they have demonstrated as business partners and managers,” said OTG Consulting CEO and Managing Partner Jeffrey Pearl. “They will strengthen and broaden the capabilities of an already impressive team of telecom executives committed to providing a range of professional services and industry leading cloud-based solutions.”

World Wide Technology has earned the designation of Dell (News - Alert) EMC Titanium Black Partner. WWT provides technologies and supply chain solutions to large, public and private organizations. The Titanium Black Status the company now has is reserved for those partners who have shown an exemplary commitment to Dell EMC and customers as they transform IT and become digital businesses. This is a new designation.
