Norman Stout was named Chief Executive Officer for Inter-Tel, Incorporated on February 22, 2006. He is responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction, and works with Inter-Tel president Craig Rauchle in developing business plans to help Inter-Tel increase its presence throughout North America and EMEA, and to pursue opportunities in emerging markets.
Stout began his tenure with Inter-Tel in 1994 as a director. Four years later, he joined Inter-Tel as executive vice president, chief administrative officer and president of Inter-Tel Software and Services. In 2004, he was named Inter-Tel’s chief strategy officer.
Prior to his affiliation with Inter-Tel, Stout served as chief executive officer for Boorhem-Fields, Inc. of Dallas from 1986 to 1990. He then joined Oldcastle Architectural Products as chief operating officer, and later arrived in Phoenix to serve as president of Oldcastle subsidiaries Oldcastle West and Superlite Block.
Stout, a certified public accountant, holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Texas and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M, and is a member of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
