Greg Galitzine, Editorial Director,
Internet Telephony magazine VoIP Blog
Greg Galitzine has been Editorial Director of Internet Telephony® magazine since its inception in 1998, overseeing the magazine’s editorial direction as well as the day-to-day operation of the publication. He is also the Editorial Director of TMC’s two most recent magazine launches: SIP Magazine and IMS Magazine. Galitzine is also responsible for creating the conference program at the semiannual Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO, an industry leading conference as well as creating the conference program for the annual VoIP Developer Conference. Prior to the launch of Internet Telephony®, Galitzine was Managing Editor at CTI® magazine and Chief Copy Editor at NASA Tech Briefs.

 

Olivier Hersent, Chairman & CTO; Netcentrex
Olivier Hersent is responsible for driving the technical innovation and vision of Netcentrex. As one of the original founders, he has played a significant role in identifying new market opportunities and building the company through technical leadership and global expansion. Mr. Hersent is a published author on IP Telephony and a frequent speaker at industry events. He is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and ENST (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications).

 

Bob Heymann, Director of Market Development, Communications Infrastructure Group, Intel
Bob is responsible for creating and executing programs at worldwide service providers to build awareness and generate demand for Intel’s communications infrastructure products. Prior to this, he was Asia Vice President for Dialogic, a public company acquired by Intel that focused on converged communications. Before moving to Asia in 1996, he led Dialogic’s product development, with responsibility for engineering and product marketing of voice processing and telephone interface products. Before joining Dialogic as a field applications engineer in 1988, he worked in various engineering and product management roles for ROLM and IBM. Bob has 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. He holds a Master's in engineering administration from Stanford.

 
Nicolas Jordan, Business Development Director, Netcentrex
Nicolas Jordan is responsible for driving business development and service strategy at Netcentrex. He specializes in the investment strategies associated with IP service deployment and assists telecom operators to build business models using a software tool specially developed for the simulation of operators’ individual business cases. More recently, Mr. Jordan has begun to specialize in the impact of fixed-mobile convergence and IMS on the telecoms environment and has carried out significant research on the deployment challenges, service provider return on investment, customer ARPU and subscriber churn.

A co-founder of Netcentrex, Mr. Jordan has over 10 years experience in voice over IP technologies and communications market development. Prior to joining NetCentrex, he pioneered Internet service deployment in France while at Hachette Filipacchi Group.

 

Michael Render, President; Render, Vanderslice & Associates
Michael Render is president of RVA, the premier market research firm in the area of FTTH/FTTP.  Render has overseen a census of North American fiber-to-the-home deployments for five years, and has been frequently quoted in trade publications and in national publications such as Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. Render has over 30 years of market research experience in diverse industries. In addition to its work in broadband markets, RVA conducts quantitative and qualitative market research in a variety of markets.  Render has an M.B.A. from the University of Tulsa, and a B.S. in Marketing from Oklahoma State University.  He has served on the board of directors of both national corporations and area non-profit organizations and has published several articles for marketing research related publications.

Rick Thompson, Senior Analyst; Heavy Reading
Thompson brings to Heavy Reading more than ten years of experience from both startup networking vendors and well established organizations. He was most recently at PanGo Networks, where he managed marketing and product management efforts for its location-based systems for wireless LANs. Prior to PanGo, he held similar product management and marketing positions at Sycamore Networks, Packet Engines (Alcatel), and Fore Systems (Marconi).

Jan Werne, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Werne has worked for over 25 years within the international data and telecom industries where he has held a number of senior management positions. Previously, he was CEO for the broadband operator Utfors, which under his leadership grew from a local Swedish Internet Service Provider to a leading stock market listed operator in the Nordic countries.

Mr. Werne was also formerly Head of Europe at Bay Networks Internet & Telecom Business Group, Head of Nordic Region at Bay Networks and Business Area Manager at Nokia Data. Jan Werne has an MBA from the School of Business, Economics and Law at Göteborg University. Jan Werne joined Tilgin in 2004.
